Hi, what is happening at you wonderful people.
This time I will not talk about coding but I would rather touch on a more sensitive subject, of Social Isolation.
First thing first, this hole situation will pass, how do I know this, everything that has a beginning also has an end, excepting the German bratwurst :), which has 2. I know, this is a bad joke :P.
However, the only question you should ask yourself is “What am I going to do in the mean time”.
Here are a few tips:
Acquire a new skill.
Branching out is always a good idea. When we are learning a new skill something interesting happens to our brain, we take ourselves out of our Comfort Zone which is a psychological state in which things feel familiar and at ease and (perceive they are) in control of our environment, experiencing low levels of anxiety and stress. In this zone, a steady level of performance is possible.
Now you are probably asking yourself, but wait Norbert, why do you want me to be anxious and stressed. Because those are two vital survival instincts. In times of isolation you should fell stressed so you can deal with it on your own terms, without outside intervention , so over come them and then have that enormous sense of accomplishment and purpose, which then overcomes the sensation of isolation. Problem solved!
Master an existing Skill
I a 100% certain that you and I are not Masters of the Universe, heck we are not even masters of our own domain, kings of our castle, etc… How do I know this, Masters of the universe don`t read my blog, or watch my YouTube videos.
If you have read the book Mastery by Robert Greene, or, oh well if you did not, the short version is this, it takes most people a lifetime to accomplice the ultimate skill level. And I mean, years of hard work and dedication are needed in order to really master a certain skill.
Why not start now, triple down on one particular skill, and just go deep in understanding the ins and out of it. We live in the wonderful era of the Internet. Information is just one click away. You have no excuse whatsoever Not to become better at what you do. You should Start Right NOW.
No Wait, I don’t mean Now now, I am not finished.
Take care of Your Body
With all of the above staying tune, a key factor in all of this is YOUR BODY.
Warren Buffett once said “if you had the choice to buy only one car in your life, wouldn’t you take the up most care of it”.
Your Body is that one car, you will never buy another one, or who knows, maybe in the near future we will be able to transfer our conscience in to a fresh body cold a sleeve, but until that time comes, you should most certainly take care of the one you have write now.
Daily exercise, eating healthy.
This is one of natures most complex machines. You need to take care of it.
With this been sad, stay healthy and be productive.
Catch you next time, bye bye.
